Tall ship Zebu sinks in Albert Dock!

We went to Liverpool today for our normal Sunday sail in Quasar, knowing that as there was no decent tide to get out on the river, we would just explore the Marina and the Albert Dock.  We were told that one of the historic tall ships, usually moored in the Albert Dock had sunk in the early hours of Friday morning. The main photo is of Zebu, the ship in question and you can find out more information here.  Let's hope they are fully insured!!

My other photo's (from top right to bottom left) are:-

1.  approaching one of the low bridges - you have to "toot" the horn as you are passing through - the good thing about Quasar is that she can go most anywhere - she is about the same height as a narrow boat so she could even navigate our restored canal system.
2.  passing some of the sights in the Salthouse Dock just before we enter the Albert Dock.  The Yellow Submarine and the Titanic Hotel
3 & 4.  the scale of the Salthouse Dock and showing that you can sail right into the heart of the city.
5.  the entrance to the Albert Dock through the Albert - Salthouse bridge.
6.  the famous Liverpool skyline, known all over the world.
7.  the famous Liverpool fry-up known to a select few - bookings now being taken for Christmas :)

All in all a great day!  Sad about Zebu though...
