Changing season...

Today Zeus09smum, Zeus and I took a long walk in Epping forest, as we try to do most Sundays.  After our usual breakfast at the bikers' hut we walked from Fairmead Bottom to Connaught Water and back again.
Everywhere there were signs of approaching Autumn: rosy crab apples, ripening berries and some leaves already beginning to turn to gold and red.  We were also fortunate enough to see several types of  butterfly, a dragonfly and damselflies but most of them were rather camera shy.  None of my shots were especially crisp, but I did rather like this Cabbage White who posed obligingly for a minute or two.
As we walked the clouds cleared and by the end of the morning the sky was almost clear blue - beautiful!  Extras are of Connaught Water
