Light and Shade - Mono Monday

Today's Mono Monday's theme is "Contrasts", and it is a day of contrasts, from sunshine, to rain back to sunshine. I took advantage of the fine weather this evening to head to the park with my son, to find the swans were far more relaxed. Perhaps it is because their offspring are now far bigger; but the anxious shepherding of offspring had gone, to be replaced with flirting displays like this. 

I loved the way the reflection played on the water, in stripes which emanated in a line to the swans themselves, and the contrasts between the light and darkness of the water; a contrast emphasised by the bright sunlight.
