Mono Monday - contrast

My photo is of a little garter snake we saw on our bike ride this morning....he was just trying to warm up from a cool night by sunning on the pavement.
The contrast is Flora and Fauna....the little snake was able to slither away, but the plants had to stay rooted in the crack in the road!
