The Journey Home

Mono Monday:  Contrasts

Another early start saw our little party of 6 tired cyclists depart from Foix in the French Pyrenees for the airport at Toulouse.  All went like clockwork and we are now safely home, to face unpacking, bike re-assembly, laundry, and (in my case at least) editing the photos that I took.

Today's shot is of the view from the aircraft window above the very green English countryside as our plan skimmed the cloud layer on the way back to Bristol airport.  As you can see the sky was largely clear, and as a result we were treated to the spectacle of the curving horizon which was, if anything, emphasised by the small thin layer of high fluffy clouds.  I rather like the contrasts that result: man / nature; irregular cloud shapes / the harsh airplane wing; white cloud / darker ground, earth / air etc.,

I'm terribly behind with blip - please forgive me, what passes for normal service will be resumed shortly!
