Contrast

Today my lovely niece Hollie turns 13, so I light a birthday candle for her 723 miles away, wishing I were closer and better able to share happy times.

The contrast? Like me, she is also undergoing some rubbish medical problems just now, and I hope the light outshines the darkness and the world gets a brighter place for us.

It will.

Perhaps a more thoughtful monomonday offering than usual from this quarter.
