Last night blues

We fly back to Zim tomorrow (Hurrah!!!) and leave England behind (boo!!!) for a while, so very mixed emotions all round.  

It's Mum and me in Stamford at the moment, so it's clearly time to take maximum advantage of granny baby-sitting - tonight she was on bottle duty whilst I checked in and sorted out the final packing.  The latter being something that always seems to take far longer than it should. 

We paid Burghley House a visit this afternoon to check it's still there - it is - and decided that the treat we had of going into the house rather than having the usual walk in the park wasn't really worth it and next time we'll stick to a nice walk with well earned tea and cake in the Orangery afterwards. 

This time tomorrow we'll be crammed into our seats and counting the hours away, so I'll be enjoying a good nights sleep tonight!
