Scenes from everyday life

St-Lô

Yesterday we drove the 550 km from Perigord to Normandy.  Today we're visting St-Lô, an attractive town which has been sympathetically rebuilt after being devastated in the Normandy Invasion of 1944.

This stained glass window in the restored cathedral celebrates some modern professions. Look carefully and you'll see a baker, a farmer, a lawyer, a civil servant and a scientist.
