Another market

And a new one on us. This is in the delightful village of Cucuron on the other side of the Montagne du Luberon from the side we look out on from our house. The village has a lovely, and rather large, pond in the centre and the market is sited round half of it. The other half is where people sit and drink coffee and chat. A wonderful atmosphere in the sunshine, shaded by the ancient trees. And music provided by a fine folk singer singing his own compositions. Turned out to be English, although living now in France. Gordon bought a CD!

We don’t very often come across this way, mainly because of the scary road that cuts through the mountains from the road below our house – one of those ‘scary’ roads that twists and turns and has steep drops at the sides, the ones that locals use every day without a thought and go at such speeds!

And another church (in extras). This is in the village of Vaugines, close to Cucuron and was used in the films - Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources. It's such a long time since I watched those films, so I don't remember, but maybe someone does.
