Calm waters

At my favourite local beauty spot the River Mole flows gently through the stepping stones today. There is talk on Blipfoto about the countryside having a look of autumn, but the trees here are still the heavy green of high summer.
These stepping stones are not stones but blocks of concrete. A previous set were removed for World War II as a security measure. Somehow I cannot visualise an invading German army using this route!
