Modern God of Transport

I was browsing a  LT Museum posters, when I came across the following poster, by Lilian Dring, dating from 1933 or '38. , I was puzzled over the mysterious word 'elpetebe', when it occurred to me - of course it means LPTB - London Passenger Transport Board.
Just in case anyone else was wondering!
