What if?

Believe it or not!

I think this is my 300th. We had 2 inches of rain last night in addition to the 0.9 inches that fell yesterday things are a bit sodden.

I had hoped to have a shot of the fields of cultivated sunflowers, but in this weather I haven't managed to get there. So here are sunflowers from nearer home. When we first came to Kansas 48 years ago you hardly ever saw sunflowers. There were more in Colorado in spite of the sunflower being the state flower of Kansas. Now, I think largely since the prohibition of DDT use, they are everywhere. There are 10 species of sunflower and this is probably Helianthus annuus but I am not 100% certain.
