Hot Desking...

Who here works in an office environment?

Okay, of you lot with your hands up, who all works in a hot desking environment?

My department just started this week. We've gone from exclusively static desks to a sort of limbo inbetween static and no-fixed abode. I say inbetween because we have certain computers that have specific software on them. Who had to do the organising of which computers went where? Muggins here, and yesterday, jeezo, what a literal headache it was.

I must say though, it is interesting watching how everyone deals with it. Some people (some for valid reasons, some for old habits) gravitate toward the same desks, some are later in and so have to move around and some are actively choosing different desks. Taking all the variables into account, everything is working out okay which is a relief for the planning I put into it.

Notes on the Picture...
This was taken on a wee stroll out at lunchtime. When we spoke to the man responsible (him squarely behind the thistle), he said he was taking the railings back to the metal by hand. He has a long job ahead of him if he continues in this fashion.
