Tea at Miss Cranston's

The Willow Tearooms in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

I have been in it once before - and admired the decor - with my Australian cousin, some 8 years ago - but there was no food to be had because the cafe was closed for the afternoon.

So today I had to try it out - and I was not disappointed. The teapot is filled with leaf tea - the cafe's own blend. The meringue (of all cakes, the least fattening, I tell myself) is filled with real cream.

Mmmmmmm.
