Church and State

Heidelberg is a great place to visit and the castle is a must see. It has been hard to pick a blip for today but have gone for this shot of the old town from the castle rather than one of the castle itself. The town hall and the main church face each other across the market square. For hundreds of years there was a wall dividing the church in half with the Catholics using one part and the Protestants the other part.

A couple of hours driving has brought us down to the Black Forest and the luxury of staying in the same hotel for 2 nights!
