Courgette and Lime Cake

A busy day thus far.

I started the day off early and baked a courgette and lime cake and then drove Henry to Chippenham for a dentist trip.

Henry had teeth all over the place and put up with 3 years with a brace which resulted in a fabulous set that he is very proud of! Unfortunately his wisdoms have come through at very jaunty angles. Our dentist is a pessimist and gave the poor boy bleak expectations. A few years ago, apparently, they would have been whipped out but now you have to have a history of infection before a hospital referral can be made. We shall see.

I spent the rest of the day at Alzheimer Support. Thursday members are a lively, raucous bunch! After lunch there was much song and some dance and a very noisy skittles match!

Anyway,  a walk home in glorious warm sun to a slice of deliciously moist courgette and lime cake.

(As an aside, we live on the edge of Salisbury Plain and the army have been firing guns and flares and making a lot of noise for the best part of 4 days!)

Army photos here.
