Life through the lens...

By ValC

Here at last.

Our garden has seen very few butterflies this year,
However this speckled wood dropped by for a rest in the sun, and thanks to MrC grabbed my camera, and managed a shot before it flew up, up and away.
Also passing through was a tiny blue butterfly, but that didn't stay long enough for a photo.
Overhead we had two common buzzards, soaring high up, but too far away for my camera, and then a sparrow hawk flew passed at speed, as I was sat reading.
Making tea and a grey squirrel trotted down the path. Not seen one all summer.
Quite a day!
This was the only decent shot however. Tried to crop it further but Blip wouldn't let me upload.
A lovely warm sunny day and the wild life was making the most of it.
Hope you have too.
