Progress!

The new Metrolink Tram service right through the centre of Manchester is making great progress.  Here is what it looked like back in March.

It seems like the whole of Manchester is being dug up and relaid with tram lines right now...

Transport constantly changes, fashions come and go but it seems like the trams are here to stay!  Here are some images down memory lane...

PS - don't forget - the first proper railway in the world was in Manchester!
