Big and Hairy

Down to one man working on the floor today, so it won't be finished until.......

A lovely sunny morning and I have been wanting to photograph one of these buds for some time but the light has never been quite right.  It's my contribution to Flower Friday hosted by BikerBear.

I've just added an extra and am desperate to know what it is, if anyone can help please.  It's stuck on the wall outside the conservatory.
