Time to find a more interesting blip...

...than cheese scones. This is HMS Alliance, a cold war era submarine to be seen at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Gosport. 

My annual ticket for the Portsmouth Historic Dockyards runs out soon, so I thought I'd pop down there and see the sub at last. On my last two visits I was with friends who were claustrophobic and wouldn't contemplate going round it. (I did try to explain it didn't actually dive, but oddly enough that didn't help!).

 The extra blip is of HMS Defender. Now I would like to go round that one, but sadly not open to the public.
