Ride to school this term!! She's been desperate to ride it to school all week. Now she has this bike it's a little less convenient to cycle if I have to pick her up in the car as it doesn't fit in the car so easily. I needed to try out our new timings for the various after school activities this week, then we can try more cycling next week, but today we were going home so cycling wasn't an issue. And she loved it. She has a new lightweight highvis, her new helmet and of course the bike and set off zooming away! She really is so much faster on this one!! A much happier journey today.

She came out a bit cheerier. I got a "yes" when I asked if the day had been good. Which is a big improvement. She said they learnt a new dance today (no wonder the day rated higher...) and had a French lesson, though she didn't like that French day means no shared time with the other y1 class. She said they got to go on the fields "but no playing in the dens because there's wasps, which is bad". She also said y1 got a special headmasters mention for being the best class and walking round school quietly and not running in the corridors. She did some cutting and sticking, left school with a wee homework task. Though again grumbled that she still hasn't done reading! Deja vu back to foundation! She really needs to hit the ground running and it's not how they seem to operate....

Anyway, she was delightful all afternoon. After an early tea, She did her dances beautifully, trying out her new practise tutu I've made for her. She rocked a new piece she's been working on with the recorder and did a great job at piano!! She then twirled on her own in her bedroom to a new to her baby Mozart I picked up from the charity shop for her. I love how much pleasure she gets from this music time each day and how she's then choosing to listen to beautiful music/ do ballet to it all on her own.
