Drawingball.

Out again with the sixth form, this time in Salford Quays.  Got in a good hour recording the steel and glass structures that have transformed the area over the last ten years or so, then the rain set in!

We decanted(!) to the galleries inside The Lowry where they got stuck into some splendid sketching.  I appreciate Lowry's work more and more each time I visit; I was glass that the group enjoyed it too.

There was a contemporary conceptual show running a the same time.  It had taken the template of Duchamp's Readymade series as its inspiration, but had put a modern slant on it.  This, piece, by Karina Smigla-Bobinks was the stand out star however, as it engaged and charmed the viewer in equal measure.  Totally brilliant!
