Chedhams Yard

I blipped this amazing place last year .  Chedhams Yard is a heritage site that won the BBC 'Restoration' programme in 2006 and got £1million  of funding as a result.  It has been restored to the exact state that it was left when Bill Chedham abandoned it in 1966.  It is a wheelwrights workshop and blacksmiths forge and well worth a visit (check opening times first as it is run by volunteers)

We went back today as it is another open day.  This image is of a window in the blacksmith's forge, blackened by soot and backlit by sunshine.  As well as silhouetting the chains hanging in front of the glass,  there is a rather nice shadow of some ivy growing outside.

This looks mono but is in fact full colour.

I really must organise a Blipmeet here as they can accommodate groups during the week for exclusive visits.
