Walk on the Wild Side

20 male bouquetins were near the descent down from the Dents de Morcles today. What an emotional experience, I have never been so close to these magnificent animals. The extra shows this group in context with the Dents du Midi across the valley behind them. Thank you Gaby and Akemi for the best walk of this summer, we climbed despite the foëhn wind and now it is pouring with rain!

No time for comments this evening as we are going out for a celebration Thai meal,. Akemi has wanted to climb this peak for years, we tried last year and were rained off. It is Gaby's first big summit since her accident 3 years ago on the Grand Muveran.
