trying to make life easy

Gone are the days of making great big sumptuous weekend meals whilst chugging down the prosseco... microwave curry and pretend beer was on the menu tonight... just trying to make life easy...

Been a full on few days, with extremes of good and bad ...

The down side... tantrums out of nowhere, broken sleep, lots of being told no and oppositional behaviour...  To top off the tales of difficulty and strife,  one word... spiders!  last night, I'm dealing with a really distressed little un, howling, crying and wriggling, as she's still half asleep and in a nightmare, when what do I see on the curtain, but a spider the size of my hand, it only needs to take one step and it's already across the room... So by this time the lights are on and  I'm trying to console little un whilst making sure that she doesn't see the spider (at the moment she has no fears and I don't want her to learn them) meanwhile Dave without his glasses is trying to catch and remove the thing... by the time everyone else is settled and back to sleep,  I'm lying there petrified incase another spider appears...

But enough of that,  onto the good side
We went to mother and toddler group again on Friday and on the walk home, Little un decided she wanted to visit the crumblies,  she wouldn't walk past their house but dragged me to the door,  so we had lunch there, and she sat at the table with all of us, propped up on a couple of cushions,  good as gold and enjoying herself with a tea towel pegged around her neck, scoffing peppa pig pasta really neatly.

Games that she couldn't complete a couple of weeks ago, she has now cracked and understands...

We've been doing some pretend play, with a toy till, where we scan the shopping and pack it in the bag and then deliver it to the toys to eat...

We've also been doing a lot of singing together and she's now picking up the actions and instigating the songs... she's also got some great dance moves...

Finally when she's not having a tantrum, she's smily, perky, curious, bright and cuddly... Although we've had some tough days we are forming an attachment, she seeks me out, she cuddles on my knee to fall asleep, I get kisses (some of the time), she wants to be with me and have my attention all the time... it's hard going at the moment but we are on track.
