Pride.....

I've been in almost every state in the Union and without a doubt, when it comes to state pride, I have to say that Texas wins, hands down! Each time we come here I'm amazed at how many state flags are flying---you see them on almost every block---& the outline of the state of Texas as well as it's star is featured all over the panels on the expressways and on multiple buildings! Maybe it's because school children are all required to take classes on Texas history so they grow up with that pride.
Today I was out taking a walk & couldn't believe that even their MANHOLE COVERS carry the state star!! If that's not pride I don't know what is!!!! :))
