Day at a Time

Industrial Heritage

An early-ish walk at Lenzie Moss this morning followed by a very good lunch at Nonna's Kitchen in Kirkintilloch. A short post lunch wander to the developing Southbank Marina on the Forth and Clyde Canal. There are six sculptures along the tow path there which celebrate Kirkintilloch's important industrial heritage. This one commemorates the Basin Foundry. The foundry was situated here because the canal was the main transport link.
