The humming humble bumblebee

First of all: Two thousand thanks for congratulating me on my blip day yesterday and for all the lovely comments, stars and even generous hearts.
You made my day!

I had to laugh this late afternoon, busy all day, forgot about passion for  blipping and hoped to find something in the garden just some moments before the light disappeared. The shot of the dragonfly in flight was not sharp enough, so lucky me to come over this bumblebee. Darwin gave it the name humblebee because it hums when it's flying.  But how did the name change to bumblebee? Was it a story for children?  In Norway we call it humle, so we stick to the original Darwin name - hum hum :-)
