Glimmer of hope

Jaynie and Michael came for lunch and a short walk today - they've been in the area for a short break. I used to work with them in Wakefield, several years ago, and it was lovely to see them and catch up with all their news.

Another excellent concert in Etal this evening - Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar. Caught the blip on the way to Etal - the hill to the left is Yeavering Bell, famous for the hill fort at the top. The fort was probably built about 2500 years ago and was one of the largest Iron Age settlements in northern Britain.

Jeremy Corbyn has been elected leader of the Labour Party - a glimmer of hope for the future, perhaps...
