Allotment Sunday 02

Welcome to the first official week of the Allotment Sunday challenge & many thanks to Miranda1008 for her inspiration (although I did sneak in an initial picture last week) ...
... Wikipedia gives us this definition:
"... An allotment garden (British English), often called simply an allotment, or a community garden (North America) is a plot of land made available for individual, non-commercial gardening or growing food plants.  Such plots are formed by subdividing a piece of land into a few or up to several hundreds of land parcels that are assigned to individuals or families.  Such parcels are cultivated individually, contrary to other community garden types where the entire area is tended collectively by a group of people ..."
... so it does appear to be a peculiarly British thing, however, I would love to see any kind of domesticated area of vegetable or fruit cultivation ~ please tag your entries #AS02 & #Allotment Sunday 02 ... & thank you to B4YUU for her courageous first blip in this challenge ...
