Cliffs and Beach Walk

It's a joy to wake up in this house as you open the curtains after a great nights sleep to the courtyard with the tree in the middle and Therese, the daughter setting out the tables for breakfast. There is a different fruit juice every morning, yesterday was freshly juiced melon and this morning was raspberry peach and apple.. We had a young coup,e from Frankfurt sitting with us and it was good chatting with them. They had travelled Scotland and enjoyed hearing of their travels there.

This morning it was drive of around twenty minutes to see the cliffs where the storks nest. Another stunning rocky coastline but the storks had long gone, impressive nests though. A wander in the sunshine then we drove to Porto da Barcas and had a little lunch there. Wasn't too keen on mine which was Octupus Salad..... It was heaving after about 20 after we arrived!

Back to Milfontes and then a walk along the beach that you can see from the town across the water. You can drive to it or take the quick way in a boat. This is the beach. Beautiful sand and no sunbeds spoiling it. Headed back to the Casa, dropped off car and then a wander then sTopped off at our favourite Cafe for a coffee and a beer. Passed by the ice cream and bakery and got ice cream and a Portugese tart (called Pastle da Nata) which must be the best tarts ever. One isn't enough really.

Walked to the old harbour for the sunset and then to a restaurant called Conversations With Salt for dinner. Cool name for a restaurant.
