Mono Monday : Mood

A couple of months ago this rosa rugosa hedge was covered in flowers and buzzing with life as bumblebees rushed from one to another. In this particular flower they extract the pollen by vibration, so as you walk by there's a feverish high-pitched buzzing which draws your attention to flowers which are occupied, sometimes leading to a nice bumblesnap.
Now the bumblebees are dying off, and the few remaining flowers are empty and silent.
It's just part of the seasonal cycle, and of course without winter there'd be no spring. But for me this is rather a sad time of year, so that's my mood for today.

Thanks for another difficult one this week.
