Gladiolus

Overcast and wet all day - hills hidden in low cloud and, in Berwick, the haar was in, so no sea view. Felt sorry for the very soggy walkers mooching along Wooler High Street as I drove back from work.

Early evening walk around the Common with MrM and Louie. The trees and plants all looked very subdued in the gloom, except for this gladiolus - rather incongruous among all the wild grasses and bracken! There are some trees  on the Common planted in remembrance of people who have died, and this has been planted on one of the little memorial plots, next to a young birch tree.
