Sussing it out

After yesterday's disappointment we were determined to get our act together and try out the water taxi that connects the four spots along the south-west coast of Gran Canaria. Deciding where to go was the big question which occupied us, with latest return times complicating things. We finally decided to get the bus to Arguineguin and get the water taxi from there to Nalfi del Mar, which is only a stone's throw away.

It was great. Only €6 return, and both Arguineguin and Nalfi turned out to be well worth seeing. We spoiled ourselves in Nalfi spending time in the rather posh Maroa Club de Mar, and then tried to check out the massive residential complex which is built into the hillside. No go, though, because it's heavily guarded by security staff who only allow residents through. We did find our way to a display about the complex, and the blip shows Carl playing with one of the interactive exhibits which mark its 25th anniversary.

Back to Playa for a siesta and out and about then for a meal and a few drinks. This was Carl's last night, and we ate in Romeo restaurant which had been so good last year (disappointing this time) and began our drinks crawl in the wonderful Bar Eiffel where we had two amazing cocktails. It turned into a rather late night.
