75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain

I went to Goodwood today to watch the largest collection of Spitfires in one place along with Hurricanes and the last flying Bristol Blenheim.
The plan was for them to fly off in squadrons and fly the patrol routes they flew in 1939.
The weather leading up to the event was atrocious and a lot of us thought they'd abort the mission but after a 2hr delay to allow the storms to pass the flight paths they took off.
Amazing day. Lots of veterans and a lot of respect paid to them.
Why the bike? Well I rode through the storm (vile journey) and then bikes were directed down a horrible muddy track to park, as ever the bike handled it in her stride like she was a born off roader.
I'm proud I can still ride a British bike in a land where our Queen reigns and it's due in no small part to the brave pilots 75 years ago.
Thank you to the few from the many.
