Lord Burghley's Hospital

We are staying a couple of nights in Stamford (in the old county of Rutland). This town has about 600 listed buildings, as well as lots of narrow medieval passageways, making it very interesting to walk around. The picture is of an almshouse (still used as such) built in 1597 on the site of an earlier hospital for pilgrims and the poor.
