Rainbow

There's something far wrong when you come to London and the weather's worse than at home!
Today the weather has been foul. So much rain! So no chance for a look around for a photo.
However, on the way back to the tube I realised I was passing the former iconic music venue, the Rainbow Theatre, so had a chance for an emergency blip capture.

Opened in 1930 as the Astoria Cinema (then one of the largest in the world).
As one of London's premier music venues in the 60s, 70s & 80s, it was here that Jimi Hendrix reportedly first burnt a guitar.
The plain exterior apparently hides a lavish interior.
It was taken over in 1995 by the Brazilian Pentecostal church The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.
