Asian Couple On The Rocks

The crashing waves did not deter this man from seeking some fish to go with his eggs in this early morning shot. His companion was satisfied with feeding the gulls some bread. Actually, there are warning signs in this area for sneaker waves that from out of nowhere do indeed take lives. A few years ago two young men were knocked into the water about 200 meters from this spot and perished in shallow water among the rocks. A somber but important marker reminds those unaware.

The extra shows the fisherman apparently engulfed but that is long lens trickery. Some safe moments from the last day at Yachats.
