Burghead to Findhorn

Today we drove to Burghead, and walked the seven mile coastal route to Findhorn.   It was heavenly, and sun shone all day ..... we walked sometimes on the beach, sometimes in forest, it was lovely.  My photo is the HG and my sister belting along in the sunshine.  My extra is a butterfly, as they have been a rare sight this summer.  Finished the walk at the Findhorn Community village, and had coffee and cake there before catching a bus to get back to the car.

We were having to take the bus to Elgin and then get a bus back to Burghead, but we were told we could get off the bus at a crossing and walk down to Burghead, 'only a mile'..... so we got off and it turned out to be 2.5 miles on quite a busy road with cars coming fast at us, not too pleasant.  But we made it.

We went to the Cullen Bay Hotel for our dinner and it was very nice, lovely views over the Moray Firth from the dining room...... and then back to our lovely wee fisherman's cottage for some wine, chat and TV.

It's a tough life but someone has to do it!!!!!
