Arria again

(the furious back-blipping continues!)

The process of creating a photo album of the parish for our minister's forthcoming retirement continues apace. Probably the best-known feature within the boundaries of our parish is the sculpture known as Arria.

Designed by the sculptor Andy Scott, who also designed The Kelpies in Falkirk, this large piece in Eastfield looks out over Cumbernauld (or at least the south of the M80). It is 10 metres tall, was constructed in 15 sections and was inaugurated in January 2011.
