Leaving Day

Loooooong day today.
Year 11s finally had their last exam and this afternoon they came back for one last assembly and a celebratory barbecue. It was an afternoon of memories, hugs and burgers as well as the obligatory shirt signing. I have been part of the pastoral team for these students for the past four years and have taught some of them for that length of time. In fact, some of them were in the class that I taught in my job interview so it is really rewarding to see how they have matured and grown over the past few years. They were a very special year group and I wish them all every success for the future.

Now I'm going to crawl off to bed.
