The ends of the day

Another frost led to hopes of a glorious day, and whilst it certainly started well by mid morning it was dull, grey and threatening rain.
Squirreled away in the garden office I wasn't too bothered, and whilst motivation was low I slowly got stuff done, and as is often the way, without me much noticing the day got better. By the time evening came around it was lovely again and it was sunglass weather as we collected a good friend and drove west to sample the Cumbrian food pub of the year.
