Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

"The tyrant kings"

Left Lolo pass and traveled to Bozeman -that big Montana sky filled with stormy rain clouds was pretty spectacular.... We arrived at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman in the rain...perfect for a short visit.   So many dinosaur skeletons have been discovered in Montana, this exhibit is breathtaking.   The newest, most complete skeleton ever discovered of T.Rex unearthed in 1997, assembled and very recently this spring opened in this exhibit.  One comes around a corner of the dinosaur exhibit to be totally startled ( made one jump almost!)  by this strange 12 ft high, 38 ft long, creature!   About 60% real bone, .. Would have weighed 7 tons when it lived 65 million years ago.  There is also a display of a series of T. rex skulls from Montana that show how it grew from a small 13.5 in one with the most teeth to the largest in the world( 60 in) with less teeth .
We could have spent more time in this fascinating place... But onward through beautiful paradise valley and the Yellowstone River to Chico Hot Springs resort where we didn't want to be late for our dinner reservation!   Had time for a soak first too.
A fine day...posted this from the iPhone with wifi here... Tomorrow.. Yellowstone National Park  and back to no blips....
This has to be my entry for the wbc " something strange"

Edit,,, the extra - that threatening (it did rain!!) BIG montana sky!
