Flower Friday 18

This beauty dwells in a container on our porch.
We just arrived home from Portland. At he bottom of our road the police had the road blocked. There is "an active situation" up the road, that's all they would tell us. We were able to talk them into letting us through, since we live just a few hundred meters from the road block. "Ok, go, but go quickly", they said. Our daughter just called asking if we'd made it home, and filled us in on what was taking place. Some sort of domestic situation, man with a gun and shooting it , wife got out safely. In the end they were able to negotiate with the man and talk him in to surrendering.
Sounds like no one was hurt, at least not shot. 
The extra is a truck we saw on a Portland freeway.
