Swooping Towards The Weekend

After a busy end to the week, Mum and I went to La Dispensa in Puerto Cabopino for dinner.

The food was, as always top notch, and the service excellent.

The owner did his usual obsequious thing of greeting us like long lost relatives who had just returned after 10 years away and had won the lottery too and would obviously be in generous mood!

But his shirt drowned out most of what he was smarming about, so I just smiled politely and devoured my flan.

I got home to find that poor little Fliss, the 16 year old black, cat had succumbed to yet another stroke and Jacqui had had to take her to the vet for the big sleep.

Spookily, as Jacqui was turning out of the vet's driveway in the campo to come home, an identical black cat suddenly emerged from the bush at the side of the road and stared at her intently as she drove slowly by.

So Fliss is back already and roaming free at the top of the hill.

Bless her.
