An Artist's Life

The Last Supper

The day finally dawned when our playmate had to leave. A day of trading photos, finding the perfect French-dip sandwich for lunch, packing more stuff and the last supper at The Pearl in Missoula...duck with pomegranate cherry sauce and shitake flan, pate, seafood stew Provencal and a gorgeous apple tart with house-made vanilla and cognac ice-cream. At the airport, we find the plane is quite late, which means a tight connection in Seattle....so in the main photo, there should be a plane at the end of that jetway. Hmmmm.
When our saucy Aussie passed through security to the gates, a flood of memories from the past 5 weeks came up at that final good-bye wave....ghost towns, tenting, Glacier, Great Falls, Fort Benton, Butte, radon cave, Yellowstone, Bozeman, fly-fishing, target shooting and all things possible under this Big Sky. As M and I left the airport, the sky blazed red and our Montana adventure with GlassRoad ended.

Happy trails, my dear friend....we will meet again! xox
