Pettico Wick

The rugged seacliffs at St Abb’s Head were today relatively quiet, apart from the sound of the waves, as the thousands of nesting sea birds had now left. Sheep nibbled on the grass while walkers enjoyed the lofty coastal views in the warm autumn sunshine and below the lighthouse boats waited while divers were exploring the clear waters in the Marine Reserve.
The view here showing the contorted rock strata along the high cliffs is from Pettico Wick looking towards Siccar Point, a place of great historical importance and described as the most important geological location in the world.
(Correction;  having looked at the map the far point is Fast Castle Head with Siccar Point just behind, so not quite visible)
