Midsummer beetle

I don't know what these beetles are called, but they are huge and rather top-heavy, which makes them lumber along unsteadily. They are forever falling over and getting stranded on their backs, and no matter how many times you put them the right way up they will always keel over again. This one, having rescued himself from some plant soaking water by climbing up a stick, found himself stranded on the edge of the rubber container and was trying to make a leap for it over to a plant pot. He failed!
