Alpine glacial lake

During my travels I ended up in the Mt Cook national park and this was  as close to the Tasman glacier as a 20 min walk would allow. It was a rather cold bleak day with the temperature bouncing about the 3 degrees mark all day and the odd slow flurry thrown in for good measure .It didn't seen to stop the other tourists in the area either.
In the forefront is the glacial lake stretching back  to the terminal face.
After taking a few shots and deciding that being frozen was a bit over rated I was quite happy to retreat to comfort of the car and begin to thaw out.
