Lost in Thought

Church St Ledbury

A back blip as we were home late yesterday ...
This is the top of Church St in Ledbury where there are several examples of architectural styles and building methods and so plenty of blip opportunities.    Traditional sweet shop (excellent ice creams) in the extras, from one of Ledbury's small mews shopping areas.

James was in fine high speed form on his balance bike but as it's not really practical to keep up with him while carrying a DSLR I've gone for a static subject.

Many thanks for the stars, hearts & comments on yesterday's effort.  Several mentions of the light, which I wasn't expecting to be particularly good as it was a middle of the day image.  A previous blip here taken within an hour of sunrise.

I'll add an extra of a copy without the LR preset applied.  It is general sunrise,  from Improve Photography.   In the extra I've set the sharpening and contrast curve the same but left out the graduated filter and HSL changes.  I've also left the orange lifebelt alone and not done any cropping.

Most of my landscapes are processed with an general landscape preset with a few tweaks to the graduated filter and the HSL panel.

Improve Photography (Jim Harmer) has a bundle sale every so often,  worth keeping an eye out for as they are usually a good deal.  His video based Lightroom 101 course is good too - particularly if you are new to photo editing.  No - I'm not on any commission deal!
